Vision rehabilitation
Orientation and mobility training, adaptive technology, practical life skills and pathways to specialist visual impairment services.
Standing with Ukrainian veterans affected by sight loss and facial trauma — advancing rehabilitation, independence, dignity and renewed purpose.

For veterans who return from war with life-changing injuries, survival is only the beginning. Sight loss and facial trauma can affect mobility, employment, relationships, mental wellbeing and everyday independence.
Eyes of Valour is being developed to bring together medical expertise, practical rehabilitation, veteran-to-veteran mentorship and international support, with Ukrainian veterans and their families at the centre.
Explore Our PrioritiesOur ambition is to develop and connect services across the recovery journey, working with qualified professionals and established organisations.
Orientation and mobility training, adaptive technology, practical life skills and pathways to specialist visual impairment services.
Partnerships for specialist assessment, reconstructive care, prosthetics and long-term multidisciplinary support.
Connecting Ukrainian veterans with experienced peers, including British and European veterans, through carefully designed support programmes.
Trauma-informed pathways to qualified mental health support, family inclusion and community reintegration.
Adaptive training, employment connections, meaningful activities and opportunities to regain personal and financial independence.
Our long-term ambition: help establish a welcoming specialist rehabilitation facility in Ukraine through sustainable partnerships and funding.
These are development priorities, not a claim that Eyes of Valour currently operates clinical services or a rehabilitation centre.
Combat-related eye injuries and facial trauma may require years of follow-up, multiple disciplines and practical adjustments to daily life. Access to treatment is essential, but so are confidence, independence, work and community.
We aim to publish evidence-led information on unmet needs and collaborate with clinicians, rehabilitation specialists and veteran organisations. Verified statistics and cited research will be added as the initiative develops.
We are seeking conversations with ophthalmologists, maxillofacial and reconstructive specialists, rehabilitation teams, prosthetics providers, veteran-led organisations, businesses, grant makers and experienced volunteers.
Help shape safe, evidence-informed referral and rehabilitation pathways.
Contribute lived experience, peer support and practical mentorship.
Help develop a sustainable model for specialist services and infrastructure.
Eyes of Valour is at a formative stage. We welcome expressions of interest from prospective supporters, sponsors and grant-making organisations as we establish the appropriate legal, governance and financial arrangements.
We will not solicit or process public donations through this website until verified arrangements are in place and clearly published.
